I’m excited to announce that the article I wrote with Emmanuel Mogende, titled Nature Conservation, Borders, and Violence Along the Chobe River Between Botswana and Namibia in the 20th and 21st Century is now published fully open access with the Journal of Borderlands Studies. We show the complex dynamics between conservation efforts, sovereignty and militarization; and contextualise the Kasikli/Sedudu island conflict in this contested border region.
